Hans laughs wetly, something more of a spit than humor. He shakes his head and attempts to run his fingers through his locks but his hand pauses at the first touch of the chain. Bringing his own hand to his gaze, Hans’ mood fizzles, like barely there sparks bowing to a downpour. “Rather be your bride than her groom,” Hans clenches his hand into a fist and Henry watches the well-kept nails threaten to bleed the soft skin of his palm. As if Hans is on his knees seeking forgiveness for his confession, bleeding and paying his way into Heaven’s gates.

He couldn't afford to fail. He knew that, but he was running on nearly empty, and it was becoming hard to do much of anything. If only his body would stop trying to force him into stasis, maybe then it wouldn't be so difficult.

Summary
Yaldabaoth kills the phantom thieves, but is defeated when Joker summons Satanael. Just before Joker pulls the trigger, Yaldabaoth offers a deal with 3 conditions.
1. The thieves will be brought back to life.
2. Any memory of Akira will be erased. He'll be unable to reforge his bonds.
3. Joker spares Yaldabaoth. Since Yaldabaoth's power is depleted, he won't re-emerge for a long time.Guilt-ridden over the deaths of his friends, Joker accepts the deal, bringing them back, but erasing the world's memory of him in return.
8 years later, Yaldabaoth is approaching full power and Akira learns that his impending return has weakened the deal's influence on reality. This means that he can now remind the world of who he is.
Akira, still filled with guilt, now sets off on a journey to reforge his bonds with the thieves and restore their memories of him one by one before their final fight against Yaldabaoth. -

SHOWSTOPPING, SPECTACULAR, THE AND I MEAN THE REED900 FIC.
This was fantastic omgg. Literally such a good representation of what a fic should be. The angst was on point, the enemies of the enemies to lovers was good, i didn’t immediately turn to disinterest as soon as they got together, both characterization was phenomenal, i love a basket case mess of a Gavin and a smart witty nines, and this took that and gave it MORE, gave me a smart Gavin too, a nines with trauma and depth. Just— jeeez was it good.
It was just soo ughhh. Tina’s relationship with Gavin, Elija’s inclusion and backstory, TIFFANY, the way both Gavin and nines could find common ground in loving their cat, the way it wrapped up making me feel whole and not empty like some fics often do.
The best part actually was the plot, surprise surprise. It was GOOOOOD. The plot twist too, SO well written enough for it to be immediately overlooked and then enough pieces of the puzzles for me tos till get giddy over figuring it out about. The goose chase was great. OMG. 10/10, couldn’t put down.
Notes for H and spork. — use the mystery plot, the deaths and bodies found, the clues, the cleverness of the villain, the codes and the messages written in therium, disappearing and only visible to androids?
