“Wha’appened?” He slurs.
“Ariana Grande happened,” Leo says, watching his brother's face for any signs of recognition. The whole thing must’ve left poor Mike more muddled than anticipated, and Leo sighs, though, in a time like this there’s absolutely no real heat to it.
“ Grand-eh mal seizure.” He explains, a little more seriously this time. “Just a baby one, really.” He keeps his hand curled around his shoulder. “How’re you feeling?”
Mikey’s eyes slide shut, and he sucks an almighty breath through his nostrils, his whole chest puffing out before he slowly exhales.
“Hmm. Like.. like Michelangelo.” He says rather drowsily.
Leo frowns, a chasm forming between his brow bone. “Huh?”
There’s the faintest of smiles tickling at his brothers mouth, the kind that chases away all the worry creeping back into Leo’s system when his brother cracks open an eye and says with a raspy voice,
“Like Michelan-jello .” He grins. “Get it? Cos I’m all shaken up.”

Raph glanced at Casey’s face for a second, only to find him looking out over the city and bringing another beer can up to his mouth. “Uh, I mean probably never. Unless that space chick that Donnie liked suddenly decides to come back,” he chuckled a little at the end, but stopped when he realized Casey wasn’t laughing, too.
Instead Casey rolled his eyes and smiled. “Ya don’t gotta hold out hope fer some alien if ya wanna try mushy stuff.” -

“Leo.” He says his name sharply like he’d done a million times before. “Leo, how hurt are you?”
There’s a very long, suspicious pause before his brother answers him.
“It’s nothing,” he says in a small voice, shrunken down by the weight of Raph’s incoming scolding. “I’m fine. I just… If I could just—”
“You ass,” Raph spits. Bleeding fingers curl around the jagged lip of the debris that pins him, the harsh edges cutting into his blistering skin. “Don’t move. What’ve you done?”
Another very long, worrying pause that causes Raph’s blood pressure to spike a touch.
“S’just this… pole,” he says, like it’s the most casual thing on earth. “Not where a pole should be, per say.”
But it isn’t casual, because about a hundred and one very horrifying images suddenly spring to mind of his brother, just an arms reach away, impaled in the most gruesome of ways where Raph can’t get to him, and suddenly the thought of having to wait for Mikey and Donnie doesn’t sound all too good for him.

Raphael has been having weird dreams lately, but with no clue why since it always features his and his brothers' childhood imaginary friend. The same red eyes always look back at him with an unknown message, and his brothers tell him he needs to forget it and move on.
Meanwhile, since the brothers have been reduced to hiding once more with little allowance on the surface, Raph has taken the name Night Watcher and been sneaking above ground to fight crime on his own. However, a new group of vigilantes has taken root in New York that often steals his targets, identifiable only by the black tattoos on their wrists. This added to their increased activity at night when Raph is on the prowl, has earned them the name Moonlight vigilantes. No one knows how many there are, but all of the turtles are ready to find out. They come face to face with the group by tracking criminals being targeted, and Raphael is surprised to see a familiar face.
This imaginary friend wasn't just a dream and is dangerous, more dangerous than the turtles could imagine. And it's not fair when your imaginary friend is your potential executioner.

Twenty minutes later April inevitably crashes out on her bed, fully clothed still, not even having made it beneath the sanctuary of her comforter, Don drapes one of the blankets over her still form and gently ninjas his way out of the room without so much as making a sound, closing the door behind him and returning to the lounge where Mikey is now sat on the couch, a dozing baby still cradled in his arms.
Donnie takes a seat beside him and watches wordlessly as her eyes flutter shut, thick lashes casting shadows across her round, cheruby cheeks.
“That really is a superpower, you know,” Donnie says, almost mystified, mindful to keep his voice down in hopes of not breaking the spell. “You could trademark that.”
Mikey scoffs gently, trying not to jostle her too much. “What, and go back and work with kids again?” He shares a playful smile with his brother before glancing back down again at the tiny weight he holds. “No thanks. This lil one is gonna be the boss of me. I’m set for life, dude.”

“What the hell happened?”
Donnie rubs at his head tiredly. The last thing he could remember was the roaring sound of water rushing through their home and the shrill sound of all his alarm systems tripping at once.
“Looks like a mains burst,” he tells him, dropping his hand heavily into his lap. “The structure was weak anyway, the water was enough to cause it to collapse, though, I don’t suspect it did too much damage too far down.”
The last thing they needed now was a bunch of city sewer workers getting hyped up down here, looking for trouble.
Raph sniffs. “Kay.” Then, “We need to find the others. Did’ya see where they were?”
Donnie shakes his head. He was standing in the garage with Raph. He thinks maybe Mikey was poking about in the kitchen and there’s a chance Leo and Sensei were hauled up in the dojo together.
C’mon then,” Raph tells him, nudging him slightly. “Sitting on our asses ain’t gonna find them. Can you stand?”

“What’re you watching anyway?”
Leo runs a thumb over the rim of his can, collecting up beads of condensation along his skin before he shakes them away, he nonchalantly shrugs his shoulders as he looks towards the screen once again.
“Just some nature documentary,” he tells him. He then pauses, and shifts to face his brother a little better. “Would it be totally pathetic to say I mostly watch them because I get a little jungle sick every now at then?”
The corners of Mikey’s mouth curl into a faint smile, but he’s able to temper it as he takes a swig of his soda. Shaking his head as he swallows, he uses his free hand to slap his brother across his shoulders rather lightheadedly.
“Nah, man,” he tells him. Then, “Maybe a little pathetic but it’s a big change: jungle to New York.” He tucks a leg underneath himself. “You can’t expect to readjust in just a few weeks.”

“You’re just realizing that now?” His brother says once the screen declares his victory with a spray of bright, bold pixelated letters.
Donnie hums from his side of the room; he’s been tinkering about with Mike’s GameBoy for a good hour now, having torn it apart like some vulture, he’s got the back of it turned over in his hand when he says rather nonchalantly,
“Yeah. Twin stuff, y’know.”
