Phil didn't really know what to do with himself, when they'd finally hit the shores of Quesadilla island.
The others milled about the spawn area in a clump, looking bleary-eyed and hollow, like ghosts of the people Phil used to know.
Etoiles came up beside him, looking worn in a way Phil had never expected to ever see on his face, and Tubbo was at his other side, burned to hell and back, but alive. They were all alive.
Right. He just had to keep it that way.

But it seemed like the more he pushed Pepito away, Pepito snapped right back like if he were glued onto Roier. It caused Roier to have mixed feelings about the boy. His own loneliness and self hatred fighting to see who wins the battle. Roier couldn’t handle it.

Forever is missing. Mike is out of commission. Felps is… who knows at this point, really. Cellbit… is gone. Pac can only do so much all by himself, Phil knows that perfectly well, and it’s easy to see how he’s struggling with everything that’s happening.[post-purgatory, might or might not be connected to ‘monster(s)’; just some self-indulgent thing i wanted to write bec Phil and Richas don’t interact enough]

“I need my beauty sleep, Pa,” she signed to him, giving him an annoyed look.
Snorting, Tubbo reached down to gently ruffle her hair. “Of course, princess. My deepest apologies. Won’t do it again.”
With that, he turned to leave the bedroom, but before he could take a single step there was a small hand wrapping around his wrist.
“Sunny?” He asked, glancing back.
The sunglasses Sunny wore all day were carefully folded on the nightstand, leaving her blue-green eyes visible as she narrowed them at him. “Pa, why are you awake?” She asked, signing with one hand so she could keep holding his wrist with the other.
or, somehow Tubbo has ended up as a father. That doesn't exactly do wonders for his sleep schedule, and Sunny is surprisingly perceptive.

Summary
Roier and Pepito left, leaving Richas swimming in the river while Cellbit and Pac sat on the bank. He wasn’t sure what to do about this, feeling tears prick at his eyes and his breathing becoming erratic. There was no way this was happening. No. Roier couldn't be doing this. This couldn't be happening to them.
“You alright?” Pac asked him. Cellbit stayed staring, fixed on the waves of the river. This wasn't happening.
“Roiers soulmark is gone.” He whispered. It felt like it was impossible to say. The words felt wrong on his tongue. There was no way that this was real, and yet he was so sure of what he'd seen.

Or: Cellbit and Roier are soulmates. Soulmarks stay with souls. Roier had his soul swapped by Doied. Cellbit does not know this. Cellbit only sees that his husband's soul mark is gone. Breakdowns ensue.

Foolish laughed and it was a true laugh. It didn’t limit itself. It wasn’t held in a container to appear more princely or proper. Foolish honestly laughed and this time Vegetta couldn’t help his smile.
And as their conversation progressed and came to an end, although his looks were no more than average and his disfiguration should have made him more off-putting, Vegetta found himself doing nothing else but admiring the man up until his body was no longer in his eyesight and still, he stared at the door even if Foolish was no longer there, mind reeling at the absolute gem that had just walked into his throne room.
Throughout it, Quackity did not speak again or attempt to after being silenced. Until now. “I will have the next suitor brought in.”
“No.”
Or, Vegetta is required to have a partner beside him as he rules and it just so happens that Foolish is just what he’s looking for in a husband. As time passes and secrets are revealed though, Vegetta realises that maybe Foolish isn’t just what he’s looking for in a husband but what he’s looking for to save his Empire.
