Summary
Dream hears the alarm, which signals his escape, when he is actually hiding in his cell, praying he'll survive this. Ranboo hears the alarm, awakening him from a dream. Tommy hears the alarm and he's running and he is running to somewhere where he feels safe and he feels the grip of death on his throat as he thinks that his enemy is free from prison and on his tail. Technoblade doesn't hear the alarm. He is free and he is underground, far from Pandora's Vault, planning.
Or, different perspectives of the same event: an apparent escape from Pandora's Vault. Dream and Tommy react more similarly than you might think.

Sample Oneshot Snippet:
With a sad smile, Techno kneels beside the elytrian, looking him in the eyes while kindly saying, “It's alright, you're safe now. The man who hurt you is dead, I killed 'em.”
The elytrian blinks at him a few times in disbelief, opening his mouth to try to speak, but only a weak, garbled sound comes out, because he just can't believe that this is actually real.
“I’ve got ya,” Techno murmurs as he helps the winged man sit up, reaching for the chains holding him captive as he continues, “'M gonna get all this off you now.”
As Techno begins freeing the elytrian from his restraints, Phil tries his best not to cry over this unexpected kindness. But when the chains on his wings finally drop away, he can’t fight tears anymore, Techno gently pulling the elytrian close to his chest and holding him as he sobs.
“You’re free now.”

Techno squinted his eyes at him as pity was all over his rival’s face.
“Come with me,” Dream pleaded, his hands shaking. “We can do something. We’ll ask Scott to take you in the audience or something.”

I'm no longer in DSMP fandom, but I really do love Techno and Phil's friendship with all my heart <3333 So I might continue to write them sometimes, but for the most part this is a time capsule for my QSMP and emduo era :))

“Because Dream is still in there-”
“I couldn’t give two shits about Dream!” Phil snapped, pressing harder against Sam’s arm with the trident.
Sam remained resolute, holding his arm firmly against the trident despite the ache of the position and the dull pain of it cutting into him. “And what if I were to tell you that he killed Technoblade, as well.”

I asked on Twitter for a prompt and was given the prompt of Philza battling Sam, with added Emerald duo angst in that Sam is telling Phil that Technoblade is dead. This turned into a pretty long fight scene, but I hope you enjoy!

Summary
Techno isn't a good man, has never claimed to be the moral one (except in the case of empires and tyrants) but even he wouldn't have the stomach to mercilessly torture someone every day for months on end. Quackity... Techno still feels simmers of adrenaline at the name. He should have taken more of his lives. Maybe the pickaxe to the face was too kind of a death for someone of his kind. Dream, his... ally, can barely stand to look Techno in the face. Fearful and soft spoken and pained. Something in Techno aches when he looks at him. He's never claimed to get along with Dream but come on! Nobody should be treated this way.
