Summary
She sits in the river, tears streaking her face. Red swirls in the water around her, out of her control. She’s lost it.
When Aang returns mission after mission with no evidence of any remaining air nomads, Katara knows what she has to do. Doing that, however, proves tricky, when she’s not entirely prepared for children, and finds herself miscarrying before telling anyone the news. She and Aang are forced to discuss their future, and that becomes challenging when neither of them can seem to decide exactly what they want, and things just keep falling through on them. Meanwhile, the loss hits Sokka harder than Suki could have expected, and he struggles to open up as to why.
