Takes place while Light and L are handcuffed together, Light can’t remember being Kira,
Light has always had suicidal and self-harming tendencies given the pressure put on him and his own self esteem issues. He keeps getting nightmares of the night an old classmate forces herself onto him which makes his habits worse. No one but Light knows about this all.
Since he was given the notebook most of those thoughts and his habits have slowly but surely disappeared. Though since Light is not currently in possession of the notebook anymore and therefore doesn’t have memory of it, his tendencies have returned. Light can’t act on them though, he can sometimes but barely. After all, he's handcuffed to L and he just can’t allow him to see.
Light is extremely uncomfortable and trying to hide everything from L, after all the scars aren’t old and being so close to someone when he’s so vulnerable is not ideal. Light is having a small crash-out over this and is constantly getting defensive which doesn’t help with L’s suspicions that Light is Kira. After Light wakes up from a nightmare and goes to grab his razor, L wakes up and it doesn’t take long for him to figure out what’s going on.Sorry if It's a bad Summary!

Summary
There was a lot of DeathNote that I loved and a lot I wished was different. Most, if not all, of the events in death note will happen.
Basically Light will be smarter and the process of him losing his mind is shown more. A bunch of the characters, plots , and stories will have small tweaks.( I’ll explain that later)
And most importantly to me, I’ll be trying to add more to Mello and Near. they were done so dirty and I want to attempt at fixing that.
-note- this is my first ever fanfic. I also haven’t written fiction since middle school. I’m sorry in advance if this is is absolute shit. I would love any advice or feed back! If there’s any issues or concerns you want to point out please let me know! ( I also have no idea what tags to add and whatnot)
- second note- I work 40 hours a week and I’m working on my masters. I’ll try to post once a week but I can’t promise it.
