Let me backtrack- imagine living your life as you usually do, only to have that all whisked away as you're plopped into a seemingly impossible world, where the only plausible answer is severe head trauma or very, very bad luck. Our Isekai will have to learn how to live life from scratch, throwing just about everything they know about how life works out the window, so to speak. Everything that can happen, probably will happen at some point, but that's ok because at least this new wild world has an excellent support system. Beware the angst, this is mostly an outlet for me to express my emotions, so don't be surprised when Luzer has yet another meltdown. Oh, and to answer your question, yes Luzer is very much a self-insert, so sue me!

As time flies by, relationships are formed and deepened and Kaylee discorvers some soft cores under hard shells.
One Majiri is particulary special to her, right from the beginning, but she has to prove herself in so many ways first, before Eshe lets her see behind all her walls eventually.
With the help of Chayne (who will become her shepp) Kaylee tries to make a difference in the lives of the villagers, but not everyone is open for her sometimes unconventional methods (she was a physiotherapist in her previous life and brings therapeutic massage to Kilima).Can Kaylee help Eshe improve the relationships with her detested husband and her rebellious daughter? Or is everything in vain in the end, because some damage done in the past is beyond repair and the trauma inflicted is just too deep?

As humans begin reappearing in Palia, there is no doubt in anyone's mind that something strange is happening in the spiritual realm, behind the Veil. In a sudden (and extremely terrifying) vision from Maji the Dragon, Chayne receives some worrying news: Embra the Phoenix, whom the Majiri considered to be dead alongside the humans, was only sleeping. And not only that, but she now dwells among them by inhabiting one of her poor, unsuspecting creations: Favolin Fell, a human woman Chayne has come to care for greatly. What is Embra up to? Does this have something to do with the human re-emergence? How does one make sense of the actions of the gods? And can Chayne protect this woman that has come to be like a daughter to him, without having to choose between her and the home he loves?
Basically, I'm calling this my Embrafell!AU. Embra decides to inhabit (possess??) poor Fav, an archaeologist who just wants to live her life and learn about what happened to her people long ago. And who, ironically, does not care for the gods.
