Because I have read the books and grown unreasonably attached to a bunch of randos who barely get any screentime and haven't been seen for six volumes. This might just be a bunch of one-shots or maybe I'll be able to motivate myself to give this an actual plotline...
Anyway, step right up and see what's been happening with The Beacon Brigade, a group of Shade students who haven't gotten much sleep since most of Atlas got dumped on their doorstep.
See, the great thing about writing characters who get next to no screentime is that nobody can tell you they're out of character! Rip Sage! This fic will be mostly about Teams CFVY and SSSN and also that one guy from the Vytal tournament who really should've figured out Nora's semblance quicker, otherwise known as Nolan Porfirio. The story begins pretty much right after the end of volume 8, but we'll probably get to Team RWBY's miraculous resurrection at some point.
We might get some more main character action eventually, but whatever, I'm the god of this spin-off universe.
I'm also a fickle god, so updates will be very erratic, sorry. Hopefully I'll be able to come up with some half-satisfying solution to all this. Enjoy!-

He was in the business of knowing, which wasn’t technically illegal though what he did on the side certainly was.

Without missing a beat the man sat down as Yang’s glass was slid across the bar and into her hand.
