Summary
Roz is struggling to connect with the other Rozzums. So many of them are so... devoid of anything past their current task. Finding a way to get back to Brightbill is taking longer than she thought, so she decided she needed help. But some of her findings lead her to question if she'd be so willing to leave, when some of the Rozzums show glimpses of something other than their programming. Like her. She so wanted to not be alone. Did they not too deserve to have the ability to feel, and think for ones own? To not be emotionless when Roz was proof they could feel joy and love?
Miles away, Brightbill is waiting for Roz to return from her migration. With some help from Fink, he is able to put into words what he really wants to be; a good leader. (Un)Luckily for him, something takes hold of the island. Something abnormally quick, invisible, and deadly. The island looks to him for courage, and he cannot falter.
As Roz's heart is torn between the Island and her fellow Rozzums, and Brightbill deals with more on his plate than he bargained for, both must overcome betrayals, figure out mysteries, and survive long enough to meet each other again.

Summary
Roz Molovo has a perfect life. A nice big house in the suburbs, a well paying job, good friends, she’s extremely beautiful and smart.
She wishes that’s all her life was. But her perfect life came with a price. That price came in the form of her boss: Vontra Liu, CEO of Universal Dynamics. A manipulative and unstable woman who held Roz in her clutches.
Roz had endured the pain Vontra had caused her for so long until one day, in an act of defiance, Roz meets a roguish yet charming man.
Unfortunately, after a single night with him, Roz reaps the consequences when she finds out she’s pregnant. Now, she must find a way to escape Vontra’s grasp as to ensure her child a safe future. Thankfully, that same charming man is all in with helping her with the baby, though with some reluctance. As the due date draws near, Roz find love and community in a time of hopelessness and even brings hope to the man she might come to call the love of her life.

This is a way to add things I didn’t get to in the original story. I didn’t add it either bc it dragged on too much and stopped the story or it felt unnatural. But luckily I’ll have this to tie up any loose end.

After Brightbill has flown away, Roz finds herself all alone on the island. She's in desperate need of someone like her, someone to talk to (other than Fink, who only has snarky things to say). She decides to go down into the cliffside caves bordering the tidepool to see an old acquaintance, and save her fellow ROZZUM, Rummage, from the incoming winter.
