Summary
This completed smut-optional story offers a peek into a friendship and eventual romance between the Builder and Gust over the span of over one year. That's pretty much it. If you're new/inexperienced with the fandom, no worries! The story is written so that anyone can read it and a lot of in-game lore isn't necessarily needed to understand it. However, some major plot points, (although no late-game info) will be covered in the story so just bear that in mind. The story only runs through the first half of the in-game content. Chapters listed with the cont'd* mark include smut, so feel free to skip it that if it's not your vibe. I promise you won't just accidentally stumble on it. Kaina never had much faith in her father, but this was probably the biggest stunt he'd ever pulled, and she fell for it completely. Now stuck alone in a new place, she must work to build up her workshop and find the home that she has always been looking for. Meeting the familiar cast of unique characters, falling in - and out - of love, with the drama following the main events (and some added/altered ones!) how will things turn out this time around?
All talk aside, this is my dumb*ss brain writing a story through the perspective of my character on one of my playthroughs. I loved the potential and where my daydreaming went, so this is the consequence of that.
It might take a second to set up, this is the first Fanfic I've ever written, and my skills are a bit rusty. But I promise fun times ahead!-

Kail is the new builder of Portia, being assigned there by her parents to follow in her father’s footsteps of being a builder, despite her own wants and needs. She is sent off to Portia to work at his old workshop, her depression and anxiety left to fester in the decrepit house she’s forced to live in. Now that she’s away from the controlling nature of her family, will she be able to take her life back?
