Dear Paleopotato,
There is not much I can say that 'you are an incredible friend' doesn't encompass. You've influenced my writing more than you can imagine, and I am proud and thankful to call you my friend. This is for you, it's the least I could do: here is a story all of your own. Not much is known about Neil, the ‘ugly but kind’ box-tank engine that collected Skarloey from the port and delivered him to his new railway. This is mostly due to the issues the Sodor and Mainland Railway had – much of which will be talked about in this story – and also because at the end of his career, Neil just… vanished. We do not know where he is, what happened to him, anything! However, what we do know makes for a wonderful tale…
