Sapnap wakes up dead in an alley outside of a bar he doesn't know. Somehow, this is the least of his problems. Because not only is he a vampire, and not only is the guy that turned him into a vampire a complete weirdo, but his best friend is possessed by a demon and his other best friend thinks he's dead. Add in the weird guy running the antique shop that seems to think that Sapnap is some kind of criminal, and he thinks that he has a bit of a migraine coming on. Cheers to immortality?

Afterwards, shame twisted through Sapnap's stomach as he scrubbed himself clean in a scaldingly hot shower, the steam clouding his head and stopping him from thinking up all the obvious reasonings and explanations that he has now.
They’re not lies. He’s not lying. He’s not gay and he didn’t jack off to the thought of George touching him and he doesn’t jack off to the thought of George touching him. Of George inside him.
He doesn’t. He doesn’t. He’s not gay. The quiz result even says that, technically: You may experience some level of same-sex attraction. You may. Not you do.
It’s just a dumb online quiz anyway, not some mind-reading soul-searching psychic that knows what he does at four in the morning. It’s not sealing his future in fucking bedrock.
And it’s not like jacking off is equivalent to marriage. He’s not gay, he’s just pent up. His brain is, like, hazy with horniness and all the wires are getting tangled. He just needs to — untangle them. Somehow.

His hands tremble from where he’s hidden them in his hoodie pocket, his chest trembles with each inhale and exhale of the bitter night air.
It’s lame. A lame attempt at a final thank you, not even half of what they deserve to hear, what Sapnap wants to say. But Sapnap’s not sure he could continue on without his voice breaking, so he ends his pathetic little thank you with a thin-lipped smile.
Sapnap attempts suicide. He lives to see the aftermath.

While they're both trying to navigate this soulmate business. Feelings that have been building towards the surface threaten to tear down the fragile reality they've built around each other.
Short summary
Sapnap and Dream are dealing with a combination of childhood abuse, soulmate fatigue, and the fact they might be falling in love with each other. Also George and Bad are in pain over their idiotic friends. But they're trying their best.
