My Name is Byleth Eisner, I am a 17-year-old girl from Japan, but I've only lived 13 of them. I awoke from a coma after 5 years of sleep and spent the next 4 in and out of foster care. But suddenly, and for reasons I can't comprehend, I received an invitation and scholarship to attend one of Japan's most prestigious High Schools: Garreg Mach Academy in the City of Fodlan. I'm nervous about attending a new school full of people I don't know, but an education is important... or so they say.
But when I get there, things are immediately off. First, I'm in a special dorm that's only Me and 2 third years who call the schools chairwoman "Lady Rhea". Second, I start dreaming of a long-nosed man and yellow eyed boy. Third, said chairwoman is obsessed with me and my well-being. And Lastly, THE MOON F***ING EXPLODES AND MONSTERS START APPEARING EVERYWHERE AND NOBODY SEEMS TO NOTICE!!!
But as long as my Imaginary Friend/Schizophrenic Delusion (If the doctors are to be believed) Sothis is with me I can face anything, even being this so called "Wildcard".

And I had to laugh when I thought of duty/composure and how well that works with pride/prejudice, ho ho ho ho ho. Okay, so maaaybe I stretched it a bit, but STILL, I think it works pretty well.

As accustomed as she was with the loss of control over her body, the nausea threatening to let go of what she managed to eat stashed away in her room, now it was worse than usual,with her head spinning to the point she had to sit down in the grass to not fall down, her body overly tense and stuck while the smallest of noises reverberates in her head like the chimes of the monastery - oh goddess, she can’t breathe, she can barely notice the shade of green and white heading her way, saying something to her but her thoughts are so loud she can’t make up what they’re saying until the green and white shape is in front of her… and in a moment of clarity Bernie realizes the Archbishop herself saw her in such a pathetic state.
…on second thought, maybe death was better than this.

Summary
An alternate take on canon to give Edelgard the story she deserved and the house leaders the friendship they should've had with a heavy, HEAVY emphasis on Yurileth. It starts with Azure Moon, but adds in Verdant Wind's and Silver Snow's unique chapters while also yoinking lore from Crimson Flower and a dash of Cindered Shadows before mixing on high for sixty years.
There's a tiny bit of Three Hopes, but only really adding Shez, Arval, Epimenides, Holst, and (actual) Monica to the main plot of Three Houses.
Hopefully that'll draw your attention enough to give it a try? Idk. More notes in the fic because I only get like, 1k for a summary.
EDIT: I also just noticed that I tagged this thing with 'starts Azure Gleam' instead of 'Azure Moon,' but editing tags is a hassle. I promise I mean Azure Moon, lol.
