Ronald’s body was still laying there. Amadeus had not checked the gardens yet, nor did he want to. He knew exactly what would be laying out there, bloody and barely recognisable. Three bodies, all of which he had once known as kind faces, now a tangled mess of useless tissue.
But he had survived – against all odds, weedy little Amadeus Whittmore had survived battle with nothing but his legs and wits about him. He could rest, just for a moment.
It was not until he felt a little tug on his hand that he stirred.
After the Berserker incident, Amadeus Whittmore finds a little friend cleaning up the mess.
