Smoke pulls the creature into a sitting position, its hands wrapped around its back with the cord. The creature is unsteady, head wobbling, but that ridiculous smile it had come up to the Juke with, that it had beguiled his brother with, still sits goofy on its face. Drool runs down both sides of its broken, gaping hole of a mouth, mixing with blood. For the first time Smoke looks down and notices bright white fangs now embedded in the dirt, freed from the coil of the demon’s mouth. Probably from the kick. Or the bullets.
