Summary
Following the unexpected death of skekMal the Hunter, there is a shift the social dynamics at the castle. Tensions are higher than ever with skekLach remaining the Emperor's favorite and everyone else's worst enemy. It's only a matter of time before someone does something foolish.
EDIT: 21 August 2022 - I've decided to completely rewrite this story, BUT I've also realised the rewrite will be so significantly different that it should be considered a separate story. Soooo I'm going to leave this story as it is, but I'm removing it from my "zure-verse" series folder, as it's no longer "canon" to my AU. This was one of my first TDC stories and I'm still very proud of it for that reason, but at the same time my ideas and hcs have changed a lot since 2015, so I'll be rewriting this afresh ^^ <3
