Sequel to Gold Rush - Clark's POV
For Clark, being in love was easy. In fact, it was pretty much a constant in his daily routine. Wake up, think about Bruce’s eyes. Have lunch, think about Bruce’s smile. Go to sleep, think about Bruce’s ass. Being in love was normal for Clark. So why did it feel so different today of all days?

Summary
Together they watched the panel tick up to the 21st floor. Some part of them both knew to brace. Sure enough, the elevator jolted to a sudden stop. This time, since they were both ready, Clark didn’t end up pressed against him.
(Bruce tried not to dwell on his faint, stupid disappointment.)
“I’m getting a deep sense of déjà vu,” Bruce said, eyebrows raised.
“Probably a time loop,” Clark agreed.
Or, Brucie Wayne and Clark Kent get caught in a time loop while stuck in an elevator, and find themselves with only two options: trust each other or stay stuck forever.

Summary
Bruce is finally ready to confess his feelings for Clark. He just needs the peace and quiet to do so, and what's more peaceful than a small (fake) mission that only Clark can help him with? He's got it all planned, sort of. So how come nothing goes according to plan?
--
Despite the dark picture Bruce is painting, Clark laughs. The crinkles around his eyes make butterflies flutter around in Bruce’s stomach. He should just come out and say it. Just spit it out, easy peasy.I’m in love with you.
“Clark,” he says. “I’m-”
There’s a knock on the door.

RETIRE - PENDING REWRITE
At that moment Bruce realized he wasn't dealing with a Beta with hidden teeth, but an Omega wielding with knives. Dangerous indeed. "Mr.Wayne?"
Bruce was standing there like a feckless idiot staring into space. Shaking himself from the trance, and placing a bashful and somewhat apologetic smile on his face, "Apologizes, I blanked ou-,"
"Wasn't expecting an Omega." It wasn't a question and was said with a bland smile like the statement wasn't said with blunt surety. It was cutting and screamed of someone who was done with your shit yesterday. "It is perfectly fine. I get that more than you think, with the Beta suit, Beta job, Alpha physique." Not your classic Omega indeed.
