Summary
Kaiko and Will had decided they wanted to start a family pretty early on, and they wanted to help other families too, hence why they had gotten a fostering license. Life got pretty hectic not long after: having Ant and Fontaine, moving onto the Aronnax, the disappearance of Will’s parents and the search for Lemuria quickly took over, leaving no time for fostering.
But one day, years later, an out of the blue call from Commander Pyrosome changes the Nektons’ lives in a completely new way, and they’re not the only ones!
Along the way, some dark mysteries of Kaiko's past at the WOA start to resurface, will she manage to protect her secrets and keep her family - including its new members - safe?
Or
Hammerhead is even more evil than he is in canon and after the WOA arrest him, Commander Pyrosome is left scrambling to find somewhere for Smiling Finn and Mad Madeline to go.
Lucky for her, Kaiko and Will still (somehow) have a valid fostering license.

The Nektons should be here. He’d paged Fontaine incessantly when they found the wreck, hoping these artefacts would go into a museum instead of the black market. She never replied, just as she hadn't replied to any of his messages for over a month now. If it was anyone else, he’d accept being ghosted and move on. But this wasn't anyone, this was Fontaine.
