When Opportunity stopped responding after that fateful message, NASA grieved. The first rover on Mars and the longest lasting, Opportunity was the trail blazer for the likes of Spirit and Curiosity. It won the worlds hearts with its selfies and their love with its fifteen years of dedication.

Summary
Being so alone on Mars for all this time has seriously eroded Perseverance's social skills. Eroded to the point that they make a very bad first impression upon meeting the new Rover on the planet. But thankfully, Zhurong is a lot nicer than they first thought, and the two eventually manage to become friends. And someday, who knows, maybe more?
