Summary

Summary
As the summer holidays rolled around and Kay was very much free to do whatever he wanted, he stumbled upon an old, hidden tab in his chrome browser. Ao3 statistics? Since when was that there, swimming amongst the hundreds of opened, "I'll read those later" gorgeous pieces of fanfiction? Cautious, and now feeling guilty enough to click on it, he opened the tab.
"Fuck do you mean I had only posted one work this year? Huh?"
With much more free time on his hands and the desire to die left behind with school duties, an idea was born.
That was probably wayy too dramatic of a way to say that I'll be writing a short 1k word, Merlin fanfic every day of the summer holidays.
UPDATE!!!
It seems that once again, Kay had greatly overestimated his abilities and got sucked in by ambition way beyond his capabilities. Thousand words a day, for sixty two days straight? Really? Delusion at best, truly.
Inventing time travel to slap his two months younger self seems like a very desirable option now.
However, even if the summer holidays did not offer closure, the school year might (it better). At a rate of one fanfic per week, still just a thousand words, this series shall continue.

His ears ring for a brief moment and his vision goes black, the pain overbearing as his legs give out under him. Merlin’s heart skipped a beat. He blinked, his mouth opening as if to respond, but no words came. His breath hitched at the sincerity in Arthur’s voice. It was strange, hearing Arthur like this—without the usual sarcasm, without the walls of pride and bravado that usually stood between them.

Arthur catches a terrible cold but refuses to rest. Merlin, fed up, forces him to stay in bed and takes care of him—grumbling all the while. Eventually, Arthur, half-delirious, keeps mumbling soft confessions about how much he appreciates Merlin.
