There's making kids and there's having them. It is, surprisingly, not always the same thing. Add to that the fact that nobody ever managed to domesticate the older twin, and the younger is an absolute mess, this is going to be one hell of a trip.
Some of the oldest scars never had a chance to heal. A little book and a handful of words won't magically fix things, but that's okay. What they puzzle together from the collateral damage of the past might just be a whole lot nicer than anything "normal" out there could ever hope to be.

He had the same white-silver hair and deep blue eyes as his proud father. You smiled, admiring the perfection you created together. Then, a hellish shriek cut through your humming, and you sprang up, muscles tense. Pushing the sheer white curtain aside, you saw a lean, sinewy demon charging toward the countryside house. It was a chaotic mess of limbs and snapping jaws, moving with unsettling speed. Behind it, a horde followed. Panic and horror ran through you as you tried to think how to protect your child.
(Vergil is forced to face his traumatic past when the new family he built is attacked by demons.)
