Tensions are running high between Kumo and Konoha. With the targeting of the Hyuga clan for their Byakugan and an unknown ANBU running interference on missions, their tentative alliance is strained and war is one slip-up away.
Not wanting any part in this, Obito is dragged into it anyway when he's given a mission to find out who instigated the attack. Instead, he gets more than he bargained for when a certain Kumo-nin lies in wait on the other side of Kamui.

She is then adopted by Minato Uzumaki after Zabuza passes his gênin exam, his family being killed in retaliation for his crimes. When Minato dies, Dana raises Naruto as her little brother, while working in the Anbu secretly. She never officially receive a gênin diploma from Konoha, even if she is considered a jônin rank, and she uses that excuse to take part in team 7 training and missions from time to time. She says it's to keep an eye on her little brother, but who knows... Maybe a certain silver haired ninja is the one she wants to keep an eye on.

Kakashi was on a mission undercover as Sukea, but the mission goes sideways and Kakashi becomes “stuck” as Sukea, physically and mentally. Tsunade sends Iruka out of the village to help; Iruka just thinks he’s been tasked with chaperoning a VIP, and that having an ANBU on the sidelines to help is just a natural part of it. Sukea is pleasant company and attractive, so Iruka’s not complaining! Even if Sukea flirts a lot...Iruka is a professional, so no big deal, right? And when they return to Konoha and continue to spend time together...well, Iruka thinks it's just part of his mission. Except it becomes more than that, and then Kakashi returns to his usual self all of a sudden! Will Iruka be safe after that, and does he dare tell Kakashi of their time together?
