    Lady Lesso, retired (she’s not ancient like Sophie claims but she decided retirement would be nice since she’s like really wealthy anyways) collector who now owns a vintage shop, Gavaldon (Cane Street 13), is usually known as “the witch” by nearly everyone. The name came from her only childhood friend, August Sader, who is a renowned musician.

    The nickname stuck and Sophie’s constant gossiping spread it around. Agatha thought Lesso was a real witch at first though - the dark mysterious aura and even darker shop with quite so dark and questionable items. They are both studying but they work shifts at the store, and even if they’ll never admit it, they love their cranky redhead boss.

    Clarissa Dovey just moved in town. In city, actually. The company she works for is extending a branch, and she brought her whole closet, which was basically a swirl of every colour that existed, but the rented apartment is not exactly spacious. So she asks Emma for help. She’s known Emma since forever, and they still kept in touch, even after Emma moved away, and now, since the history nerd just lives down the block, they go shopping at Ikea.

But because Vanessa is a horrible mother, Agatha has poor self-esteem issues, and Sophie is more mean and selfish.

    Also, Callis is more welcomed by the town because she doesn't need to hide Agatha from Vanessa like in the book and doesn't use uglification spells to change her appearance to look more like Agatha. Aso Callis is teaching Agatha healing arts. Healer Agatha!

    Maybe it wasn't what her princess sister wanted for either of them, but Agatha knew that if she were to (impossibly) end up at the School for Good and Evil, she would end up as nothing but a nameless background character. She would miss her sister if she got taken.
    Or maybe she wouldn't, considering they're stuck in the magical school's together with Sophie proclaiming her goodness and Agatha wanting desperately to go home.

    He freezes.

    He’s not sure what made him say that, maybe it was the strange need he felt to see this stranger’s spirits lifted. For a few horrifying seconds he’s terrified he’s creeped her out and that she might think he was trying to hit on her or something and then she’d throw her drink in his face and leave. He’s considering the best escape route when he hears a sound.

    She’s laughing.

    It’s sharp and bright sound, unapologetic and intrusive like it had escaped out of her. The laughter seems to release some tension from her because she readjusts her position so she’s leaning on the counter opposite to him. She looks him up and down again but this time with a mischievous curiosity.
