“She doesn’t understand what it is she claims she wants.” He said, still vehemently avoiding eye contact.
“Hey.” Jacob brought a hand up, as if to force Edward to look at him, but he thought better of it, his hand hanging awkwardly in the air for a moment. “We’re allies right now. Talk to me.”
“I can’t.” Edward rasped, looking at him with pleading eyes. “You wouldn’t understand.”
“Then make me understand.” He insisted, leaning forward and locking eyes with the vampire. He took Edward’s wrist, slowly leading him out of the tent. There was a tug of resistance at first, but they walked out together into a frigid climate that bothered neither of them.

I just wanted my little guys to kiss and then stupid plot came along to ruin it all. Set during the tent scene. Some canon dialogue, some made tf up. Big character study, but also add a little more self awareness haha -

Kaeya Alberich would love to punch his brother Diluc Ragnivindr.
But since Childe would get angry if he actually did, Kaeya can only imagine punching Diluc. And he does that a lot.
Like now, when the three of them are working on a makeshift camp for the night in Dragonspine and Childe keeps laughing at something Diluc is telling him. Childe’s been his best friend since they were children but Archons, does Kaeya want to rip him away from him and knock him square in the nose right about now. Kaeya had to restrain himself from breaking the metal stake for the tent in half.

Despite all of the tension and the outright animosity between them, there’s something undoubtedly nice about being in the same place as Minghao and Seokmin, his two favorite people in the world. Some hidden space in Mingyu’s chest is thrumming with energy at their proximity to him. To each other.
The conversation they had earlier, when Seokmin finally shouldered his way into the dim light of their tent and demanded that Mingyu use him as a personal furnace instead of freezing to death at the top of Bukhansan, went much better than Mingyu expected. Minghao had been snippy, his tone condescending the way it often was with Seokmin, but there was something in his eyes, the way he was watching the both of them, not just Mingyu, that made him really sit up and take notice.
