Summary
Daryl awakens disoriented on the shores of France, with no memory of how he arrived and only fragments of his past to guide him. Struggling through an unfamiliar city, he scavenges supplies, evades armed strangers, and recalls pieces of his childhood—most vividly Evelyn, the girl who once offered him kindness when no one else would. Fate brings them back together when she rescues him from near death, revealing herself as a doctor and leader haunted by past trauma and hunted by Carlos, a ruthless mercenary. Their reunion rekindles buried trust, but also forces both to confront guilt, survival, and the fragility of hope. As the monastery sanctuary crumbles under Carlos’s looming threat, Evelyn and Daryl’s bond deepens, tested by loss, betrayal, and violence. They managed to make it back to Alexandria but amid shattered communities and relentless danger, they cling to each other, discovering that love, loyalty, and survival may be the only light left in a world that refuses to stop taking.

Set during the finale, a few months after our group defeats Pamela and take over the Commonwealth. Now that everything is under control, Daryl has had time to think. And all this thinking has made him realise just how he really feels towards Carol. It's all he can think about, and he just can't stop himself from running right over to her apartment to tell her.
There's only one problem, after he barges in unannounced he finds that Carol isn't alone. Ezekiel's there too. And she's straddled on top of him, wearing very little clothes.
A re-write of the events leading up to last scene in the Season 11 finale. And Part 1 of a 2 part series exploring the different relationships between Daryl/Carol and Carol/Ezekiel based on the idea that Daryl works in on them getting it on.
