Roman had seen this exact scene play out before. He had spent too many late nights binge-watching Starkid for inspiration not to recognise the path ahead. And he knew from these late nights watching Jafar that the only thing he could do was seize this twisted path that lay before him and stop them all from crashing and burning.
Couldn’t they see he was just trying to help? Roman was the literal embodiment of Thomas’ hopes and dreams for gods sake so surely, they would understand he knew Thomas the most and had his best interests at heart.
Surely, they would understand how he got to this point. Roman just wanted to save Thomas - save all of them - and if locking him away from the others who wanted to ruin him and hurt him would fix everything, if this was the only way to protect his damsel in distress from himself - then Roman wasn’t Thomas’ hero for nothing.
Aka Roman kidnaps Thomas to try and “fix” things after the wedding, and the others have to travel into the imagination to save him

Deceit remembered his first moments. He was the first to become aware. Curled up safe and comfy in his own space that was to be his personal room when it was time for him to wake up. But it wasn’t time for him to be awake yet. The others had to wake up before him first. There were a few things that he was knew though, like he knew he was more than just Deceit; he just wasn’t sure what else he was yet. But he knew that he was important no matter what. But for right now he was just meant to be there, and sleep. He was to wait and sleep in his comfy warm space as the others started the building blocks of the person they were to help make. He could subtly feel whenever one of the others woke up and began to move around. Could feel the space around him shifting and changing. He really wanted to wake right away, but he couldn't. He had to be patient, and dream of what he thought the others were like and what they created as their home, while he waited and slept. He couldn’t wait to meet the others
“I’m here! I’m awake now!” He called as the flunged the door open excitedly running out.
