Alternatively. A person behind a monitor is trying to establish a connection with a being they never got the chance to properly talk to. Although communication is limited, the player is sure they can try something to improve the situation.

Summary
It's been nearly a year since Niko was finally able to return home, after a long journey which finally ended in them saving a world they weren't even from. Yet, even after so much time has passed, they still haven't forgotten the world they'd saved, and left behind. The God that they had befriended, and who they knew they'd likely never see again, as well as the many other friends they'd made along the way.
Fate is a fickle thing though, and while Niko believed that their journey ended there, with only memories remaining, they'd soon find that life tended to surprise you.
However, they need to be careful, for the rules haven't changed. They still only have one shot... But will it be enough?

Not too long ago, the sun was restored. The world fell back into peace. The messiah went home. Everything was okay.
But like all good things, that peace came to an end. Due to an unknown error, the messiah’s world collided with the machine’s. And the sun went out once more. This influx of sudden data put immense strain onto The World Machine, it couldn’t hold everything. So it didn’t. Against its own will, it began to erase. Places, things, …people.
With the world in jeopardy again, who else to save it other than the messiah and their god?
Although, things are a little different this time.Your choices here will not only affect Niko, but yourself, too.

Niko has to guide a stranger through an even stranger, and deadly, world.They must find the secrets of the world, this stranger, and fix both.
If only it was that easy.
[But remember this. Everything that happens to him is your fault, and your fault alone.]

Summary
The Player and their Niko embark on their pilgrimage side-by-side, a journey in which you, the God, are physically present. You can see, hear and touch everything in the world as your could your own, and your role as the omnipotent protector remains unchanged. This means, however, that you are forced to make these decisions and watch the story unfold until the bitter end; right up until it starts back from it's roots.
Very quickly, you learn that you have become trapped. One ending does not grant you the resolution you anticipated, and going through the motions a second time for an alternate path does not grant you the satisfactory ending you were hoping for. Everything remains the same. Niko's memories of you and the previous cycles are wiped clean, while you must retain every event that has happened thus far with frightening clarity. You're not sure if any of your choices mean anything, anymore.
You can't find a way out.
You can't save Niko.
You were only supposed to have one shot.
