Hitoshi sighs, knowing he couldn’t avoid this forever. “Yes. Almost all of us are the same age, minus our fairy and vampire. Shouto’s technically six-hundred years old and I’ve been told Izuku and Toru-chan are over a thousand, but you know that saying about undead being trapped in their dying age?” Both adults nod their head, listening intently. “It’s true. At least, it is from what I’ve seen of Shouto and what I’ve heard about our ghosts. They are very much teenagers.” He says as if he’s so much older. (He’s not. Gods, Shouta is getting a headache because this spellcaster is not older. Sixteen at most)
“And that’s why you need help with taxes.” Shouta says plainly. Hitoshi looks a bit sheepish as he shrugs.
“The only one who can do them is stunted in 1430 levels of understanding. He tries, he really does, but it’s like throwing spaghetti at a wall. Some sauce will stick, but it mostly slides right off.” A house full of children and their homeowner was 600 year-old teenager. Wonderful.

Heat leaves Tank's face, but it's still in his eyes. It's different now. This isn't the anger that Ripp sees whenever his brother is about to get into a fight. It's colder, mixed with a drop of something else. Disgust? Fear? Pain?
His tone grows quieter, but not less hostile.
"You're just like mom."
