The song is adapted to fit the circumstances of Catelyn Tully Stark praying for Jon Snow's death when he was a child.
The song is from Jon's perspective if he had ever found out that his father's wife had begged the Seven Gods to kill him for the crime of simply being named a bastard.
In the song Jon asks to be buried under a weirwood tree should he die. I included this to highlight how he would believe that he, as a bastard, wouldn't be afforded a place in Winterfell's crypts alongside his family.

The song is about the the Red Wedding and its aftermath from the perspective of the northerners that stayed behind during the War of Five Kings. It's meant to depict the anger that was felt from the murder of Ned Stark, the pride the North felt to have their own King again, and the grief that they experienced after so many of their friends, family, and fellow northerners were slaughtered at the Twins by the Freys and Boltons. It speaks not only of the broken dreams that Robb Stark's murder left behind but also of the resulting brokenness of the North itself. The people who remained were left to try to make due with a severely depleted population, poor conditions for their livelihoods, and the impending winter that promised to be the worst in living memory.Series

He is said to hold court with ghosts, shades and demons. He is said to pray to the Stranger, a death cult.An SI into Maegor Towers, last of his line, the Lord of Harrenhal. He tries the classic SI stuff as a kid and it backfires. He ends up going mad.
King Jaehaerys made House Towers the 'example' of what defiance would bring. He saw Maegor's greatest SI attempt and yoinked it for himself, robbing Maegor of 50% of his land and 99% of his income.
It's a long spiral down, and we're not climbing out.
Oh, and Rhaena Targaryen eventually shows up. She's best described as 'a pile of issues pretending to be a person.' But hey, at least she can join the Anti-Jaehaerys Club.Chapter 3: Meet Maegor's insane battle plans, the ghost of Harren Hoare (maybe?), a book peddler selling useless exposition, a bunch of toy tanks, and everyone's favorite character, razor-sharp knife used for medieval blood-letting.
