    Steve looked up, expecting to see his friend’s exhausted face, but instead found him positively grinning with a small paper lunch sack in his hand.

    “You seem awfully happy,” said Steve in lieu of a greeting.

    Natasha and Bucky chose that moment to enter the common room as well, wearing sweaty gym clothes and with messed-up hair. “Hey Sam,” said Natasha. “How terrible was the kid?”

    “I take everything back I ever said.” Sam unrolled the top of the lunch sack and showed them its contents. “He brought cookies! You’ve gotta try one, they’re literally the best things I’ve ever tasted in my life.”

     

    Aka, the fic in which Peter volunteers at the VA with Sam, who ends up practically adopting him and tells the whole team, making them all want to meet the fabled kid. Turns out, he might be a lot more familiar than they thought.

    It starts when they first meet and how they traversed through life together. Told from the 3rd person but very Bucky-centric. Updates will be just whenever; I'll fall into a schedule, but I'll lyk if I've stopped working on it.

    Bucky meets Steve; they click instantly and become inseparable. Bucky realizes he has feelings for Steve, and they kiss about it. There is hurt, but there is also comfort, so worry not! I love my boys and would not do anything canon hasn't already done to them.

    Goes through Bucky's time in the war, as the Winter Soldier, and his recovery and budding (new) relationship with Sam after Steve is out of the picture.

    They wait in an uncomfortable silence for a few moments, Mr. Harrington checking his watch every couple of seconds. The room is sparsely decorated, save for the circle of folding chairs. Beige paint peels off the walls and a clock by the doorway loudly announces each passing second with a resounding tick.  

    As Peter begins to grow impatient, a familiar face enters the room, his face painted with apologies, but before he can open his mouth to say any of them, Flash blurts out: “You’re The Falcon.”  

    The man, Sam Wilson, as Peter mentally fills in for himself, smiles indulgently and nods. “Yes, hello, my name is Sam Wilson, but you may know me as The Falcon. I’ll be conducting your group therapy session today.”

But the other 1% of the time his ideas start out good and end very, very badly indeed. For instance, when he suggests the team play 'Never have I ever' (now with the ability to get Steve drunk, thanks to Thor) and no once expects what gets revealed by the Good Captain.

    Just to mention, in the third and fourth chapters there is a mention of rape, there is nothing explicitly described but it is hinted at in the third and then there is a nightmare and talking about it in the fourth. If this is triggering for you then skip the sections with ******* above and below it.
