"Officer Juarez is down, she's not breathing", yelled Nolan while carrying Celina out of the house.
"Alright we got her, go! Thorsen, call for backup while I start the CPR", Tim said as he checked her vitals.
He put his hands on her chest and started the compressions. That’s when it happened… In just a blink of an eye he was no longer there, in the front yard of the old house that was now a crime scene, bringing this rookie back to life, desperately waiting for her to open her eyes…
If Tim was honest with himself, he knew this would happen the second he said he’d start the CPR… after all, this always happens. But this one was different, it was the first time he saw her, it was the first time he was back on that sand, over her body, breathing life into her lungs, doing chest compressions while feeling her ribs cracking and the sweat in his forehead… Just like that he was back to the day he almost lost her… back to the last day of the rest of her life. -

Dick looks at Jason and Damian's faces. Worst of all, none of the three of them were sure of the answer.
Tim was the best of them, wasn't he? He understood why they had done certain things. Why Dick had to take Robin away.
Understanding didn't mean forgiving, and all of them hadn't even thought about how Tim felt. It was easier to ignore the feelings. He would like to say it was Bruce's fault, but that was all of him and the others.
Perhaps Titania was right in saying that Tim will be safer with her. Away from Dick, away from his near killers.
Away from Batman ... safe, protected, with his biological mother and her sisters, in the place he was entitled to by birthright ...
Jason hit him in the head, “Dickhead, stay with us. The bitch is messing with your head. "

“I killed him.” With shaking a hand, Tim pointed at the man breathing unsteadily on the ground. The pool of blood beneath his head was growing larger. “I hit him too hard, I didn’t mean to, it was an accident!” He was rambling, he knew, but this was bad.
“What?” Jason sounded genuinely perplexed, but also angry. Though, Tim supposed in his half-dazed mind, Jason always sounded vaguely angry. “What the fuck are you talking about, Replacement?”
“Bruce,” Tim gasped out. “He’s— he’s gonna hate me. I’m sorry, I’m sorry—”
“Hey!” Jason’s sharp bark snapped Tim back to himself. He was shaking, but Jason’s hand was steady on his shoulder. “Baby bird. Look at me.”
“I killed him!” Tim jerked away from Jason, but the older man held him firmly. “I don’t wanna get kicked out, I can’t go through that again—”
Jason didn’t let him finish. With a swing of his arm and a deafening gunshot, Jason buried a bullet in the man’s head.
“There,” he said, shrugging. “You didn’t kill him. I did.”
Tim was hyperventilating.

The plan he has in his brain is not really a plan, moreso just a couple of half thrown ideas and maybe five steps into building back the life he had in the most painless way he could.
Maybe, he thinks, maybe this plan can start off with the family he misses– because he’s sixty and most of them too injured or too old or too dead–
Call him selfish but he misses them. He would rather find them than get himself back into that lonely existence he called a life before he woke up at nine.
Dick makes do because that’s all he can do really.

“No, really, I can’t. I don’t have any money to give you for it and-”
“Okay, okay,” Tim raised his hands in surrender. “Okay. I’ll just have to walk you home so you can give it back, then.”
