AU universe but set in early Season 3 Neverland. Emma, Regina, The charmings and Hook are looking for Henry after he's been taken by Pan. Regina felt she was changing, she became more emotional, which she hated. She was always able to conceal and repress how she felt. After a few years, new feelings show up that won't let her do that. But there was one problem, she didn't have anyone who she could trust apart from Emma. However the blonde was the main cause of these feelings and she couldn't possibly tell her what was happening inside her body. She tried to put these feelings aside as she was already dealing with Henry's kidnapping which was her number one priority but when reuniting with Tinkerbell, things change, a lot of past memories come to the surface and this broken friendship could be saved, only if, the former queen lets her true emotions come out.

Throughout the evening they dance, talk, and Regina begins to take note of the growing list of enemies she's been making recently. She also steps up to the line in the sand with Mary only to be saved by Katherine at the last moment and Zelena says something nice for once. Afterward, they spend the rest of the night curled up in each other's arms in a hot tub for hours.
As always the watersports have been bracketed off so you can easily skip it if you want.

Much to Zelena's disbelief and outrage, Regina got away with it. Their mother came in with lawyers, Emma used her intelligence to talk circles around the cops, and in the end Regina was freed of all charges. Now, she's in LA looking for the answers and explanations she refused to hear four years ago, hoping that if she can't make peace with her sister being a monster, she can at least understand how it happened.Told from Regina and Emma's points of views in alternating chapters. Flashbacks will be in italics. It's about relationship duality, Regina being a bad person, and Emma refusing to admit that.

They’re not the blotchy discoloration of biological birthmarks, but definitive shapes, like black tattoos. Animals, elements, man-made objects and natural plants. No mark is exactly the same, but for one - the mark of a person’s soulmate. And in Regina’s world, there’s an extra hint your soulmate is close - your soul marks glow.
Some people’s marks are similar, but show up in different places. Soulmates’ marks are in the same spot - the upper back, the inside of a wrist. On an ankle, finger, or foot. Right shoulder, left shoulder, bicep, forearm, neck. Sometimes they’re even on faces! A soul mark could be anywhere, and they’re not always easy to find.
As for the soulmates themselves? Well, some aren’t a very good match.
