Everything is alright.
Sometimes, they would go hunting in the woods for tomorrow’s dinner. Usually, Tommy wouldn't want to shoot down a prey himself, so he always makes Techno do it when he spots a rabbit or a chicken fit to be their meal. The fireplace still crackled, and they ameliorated it. They dwelled within the flames and sought a type of comfort that doesn't come from explosions or arson-plagued towns, but from simple nights and mythology and nodding off to sleep. They still loved to brew potions; Tommy would even steal them and take them in secret. Techno would be startled to find his brother having the ability to leap as high as the pine trees.
But of course, all of that comes with a price to pay. That's when Tommy realised that this euphoria built out of tall towers of nostalgia and even taller citadels of yearning was merely a play for time.

“-ome on, Techno! Use that big brain of yours!” Wilbur jeered, from across the fire. “How would you describe us, O’ Poetic One.” Tommy eagerly turned back to ‘The Blade’ to hear his response.
The fire had died down, and Techno was nudging it with a stick as he gave Wilburs question some thought.
“..searchlights. We are Searchlights.” Wilbur gave a loud laugh, followed by Tommy and everyone else.
“Searchlights? Really? Is it because we can see in the dark?” Technos normally pink ears turned a dark red at Wilbur's comment.
“Like any of you could do any better.” he challenged. Fundy scoffed,
“At least compare us to something cool, like Rockets.”
