Two-Bit slung his backpack to the ground and unzipped it, pulling out a flat head screwdriver and holding it up grandly for Ponyboy to see. "It's time you learn how to lift a hubcap.""
Or, just a few months after his parents' deaths, Two-Bit takes Ponyboy out for a crash course in lifting hubcaps. A few months after that, Two-Bit can't help compare that Ponyboy to the stranger who returned to them from Windrixville, and wonders if he'll ever be the same again.

After the fire, what the gang considered to be the most shocking revelation was that Johnny survived. That is, until Darrel Curtis announced he is simultaneously dating three men who are all also in love with each other. Oh yeah, did I mention that they have informally adopted Johnny?

"You… are a fucking prick." Two-Bit uttered, wincing as a hand grabbed his hair and shoved his face against the concrete below him. He had no doubt that it was going to scrape, there was enough force behind the action to do so.Or, or, the one where Two-Bit gets jumped and is left in really bad shape. Luckily, Marcia happened to be looking for him and Two-Bit gets taken care of by Marcia and Randy during the aftermath.

What if Ponyboy wasn’t born a Curtis and instead born a Soc in a family of Hoodhood’s in Long Island instead of a Curtis in Tulsa. He has been having dreams of a boy that looks like him, he believes that it’s just silly little nightmares until he meets some greasers he has seen in his nightmares.
Darry and soda are in devastation after the deaths of their parents and unborn sibling, Darry decided not to go to college and move to a new place called Long Island. But he keeps seeing this boy in his dreams. He plays them off as just imagining what his dead little sibling would have looked like, until he actually sees the boy.

Hands were suddenly on him again, and Johnny flinched slightly, but he noticed that the hands grabbing him were a lot smaller than before. When Johnny opened his eyes, there was what looked like an eight year old boy sitting in front of him, carefully helping Johnny sit up. The boy was looking Johnny over, scanning over his bruised, cut up face, but Johnny couldn’t really focus on that. All that he could really focus on was the group of boys scrambling away, a tall, blonde woman standing in front of Johnny and the other boy.
