创伤后应激障碍（PTSD）是因经历或见证恐怖事件而引发的心理健康疾病。症状可能包括幻觉重现、梦魇和重度焦虑，以及无法控制地想起某事。
有贯穿全文的维吉尔魔界抹布描写，血腥描写，人体实验描写，精神折磨描写。
时间跨度是从V到但丁事务所到5代之后双子从魔界回来后的故事。
V处于是维吉尔又不是维吉尔的叠加态。

V几乎可以从但丁眼睛里看到他的倒影，多么弱小而又无力，特别是站在他的弟弟面前。
他现在绝对不能告诉但丁真相，但丁要杀现在的他连两只手都不用全用上。V必须编造出一个合理的说辞。V拿着手杖的中段，用手柄顶住但丁的胸膛，施力让但丁慢慢向后退。
V戏虐地挑起了单边嘴角，“我和维吉尔曾经关系很近，虽然他一直都想抛弃我，恨我，可是却做不到，他无法离开我。但直到现在，他终于做到了。”V的尾音戏剧性的降低，仿佛他在形容一场戏剧而不是发生在他身上的事。
参杂着真实的谎言是最好的谎言，他刚才说的可没有一句假话。
“你是他的——情人什么的吗？”但丁皱着眉怀疑地问。V用自嘲地语气抑扬顿挫地说：“可以这么说。”他实在不知道但丁的脑回路是怎么转的，为什么会得出这个结论，不过这样总比好过认出自己就是‘维吉尔’好点。
