The machine excitedly gestured that Gabriel should try it on much to his protest. His heart twisted when the machine's shoulders sagged, putting the costume kit down and moving on wordlessly. If Gabriel hadn’t spent so much time with them prior, he’d have assumed they had moved past it.
So maybe that’s why he found himself back in that store, sifting through that same aisle much in the same way the machine had to find that god-damned bunny costume. And maybe that’s why he was so crest-fallen to try on the costume only to find it barely could fit over his thighs, much less properly cover his chest. Angels and humans may look anatomically similar but Gabriel assumed these costumes were not crafted with angelic proportions in mind. Though, the headband was a one-size fits all - angels included. Gabriel tucked it into his bag.
AKA: Happy Easter! Gabriel dresses up as one of those gold foiled chocolate bunnies
