This is the story of the secrets Korra uncovered, the family she found, and eventually, of the Earth Avatar she guides through the ashes of her world.

This AU starts in the 'unseen' years of canon Korra Alone, but progresses to Korra/Asami's post-canon marriage and a divergent take on the Kyoshi novels and Seven Havens. It's dark, lore dense, adventure/mystery focused, and a work in progress. Check the tags. Feedback welcome!

Vaatu gave a small chuckle. "Chaos was never dependent on my freedom. I am a conduit, an embodiment of the concept - but I do not control it alone. I can influence it, but it will always exist, always free to do what it likes. The chaos that Wan dealt with came from humans expanding outwards from their Lion Turtles. They will always fight and conflict with each other. Personally, I think they could stand to learn how to resolve their own issues."
"So what? You think the world doesn't need me?" Korra frowned at the older spirit, raising an eyebrow.
"My point is not that your deeds are meaningless, only that you don't need to concern yourself with every human conflict that passes within your sight. What needs you will find you, and in the meantime, humans will live on."

The Legend of Korra Book 4: Cycle by Bomochu

Summary
Book 4: Cycle is an alternative story to the Legend of Korra Book Four: Balance. It follows Korra as she tries to understand what it means to be the Avatar, while Kuvira rises to power in the Earth Kingdom, and the whispers of the Red Lotus spread fear across the world.
Korra and Kuvira's journeys are different then the original, in that Book 4: Cycle features Kuvira's downfall and redemption, and Korra works through what it means to be the Avatar and who the ghost is that's haunting her. This fanon isn't meant to be a 'fixing Legend of Korra' story (though hopefully not worse) but simply different, and I've also tried to stick to the original storyline where possible since it's a fun challenge to work within that framework.
The story is nearly complete so I'll be publishing chapters pretty frequently. :)

Uncle Iroh- for some reason Zuko yet again failed to understand -refused to shoot lightning at his nephew. When further asked about it, he'd said something about it being for safety and health reasons (although it was still a bit unclear whose health he was referring to).
Zuko had never been able to count on luck though. If he wanted to ensure he could get an upper hand against his family, he would have to go and look for one himself, like with pretty much everything else in his life.
But perhaps people should really be careful of what they wish for. It might become true in the least expected ways.

This is a fanon continuation of the Avatar series, taking place in a modern-day Avatar universe, with modern technology and society.
LotDA was written in 2020-21 in script form by D. Cavallero, with R. Willing and J. Vilarelle. The main plot was devised by Willing and Vilarelle, with Cavallero adding additional plot points and character designs and development.
