If the heart of a human beat that way, you might as well call it useless, since it would not be strong enough to survive. But for a being such as a technically dead blood-sucker… this faint thump is more than enough.
But when Rey saw her for the first time, moving swiftly in her pink top, her fiery hair swaying from side to side, well… At this moment, Rey might as well have been human. Because the thumping of her heart then… it would’ve kept an entire village alive.
