Summary
Welcome to the series that takes place in the universe of my fic "Thus Always to Tyrants." Here, I have gathered all of that AU's respective works for your perusal!
The title "The Ode of Poets and Memories" can be related not only to Venti and Queen Catalina (a key character in shaping Barbatos' thoughts and actions in this AU), but also to the famous quotes from the book The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller ("I am made of memories" and "He is half of my soul, as the poets say").
There were a lot of ideas I had for titles, such as the names of songs and key words from other quotes I hold dear, but I think Poets and Memories was the best fit. Not only does it briefly describe the themes in each work, but it also calls back to the two most important characters that shape this universe: Barbatos and Catalina. I firmly believe it's a fitting nod to their bond as described in Thus Always to Tyrants.

In un mondo che teme ciò che non riesce a controllare, nascere con poteri soprannaturali è una condanna. I "diversi" vengono marchiati, perseguitati, venduti come carne da esperimento o trasformati in armi.

Perché Venti è rotto dentro quanto lui. La leggerezza è solo una facciata, una strategia per non affondare. E Xiao si ritrova per la prima volta attratto da qualcuno che non finge di essere forte, ma che usa il caos per sopravvivere.
E proprio lì, Xiao si accorge che forse…
