Summary
There were more and more people like him, people who had found themselves with new abilities. The world shifted quickly around them, leading to the rise of multiple organisations that would bring these people into their ranks while promising things like fame, wealth and even safety. Yet, there were also many that would choose to remain on their own, away from the big companies and government agencies.
He had been one of the very first people to find their powers, one of the few to actively start fighting crime on the streets.

Summary
Just another Tommy SBI Vigilante story but with a twist
So sorry, the summary's a bit cringe, I don't really know how to write one. heh^^In a city where superheroes, supervillains, and vigilantes rule the streets, a strange sickness breaks out. A disease to corrupt people's abilities with the only cure thought as being death until... Thomas Simons, an 18 year old vigilante has a chance and highly avoidable encounter with the Blood God; the only known man to be able to cure the infected, sends his fate spiraling away from its' supposed path as he becomes the Blood God's apprentice/assistant and joins the hunt to eliminate and permanently cure this sickness.

Actually, in hindsight, Tommy may slightly doubt his own ability to get a job in this part of town.
Okay, he knows lots of rich people come here, and he knows he might not be the best candidate for this poor business.
But unfortunately, he doesn’t own a fuckin’ suit, and he just needs a job for the love of Prime.
The manager, Wilbur, raises his eyebrows after he’s looked through Tommy’s paperwork.
“You have another job already?” he asks, glancing at the “current employment” part of Tommy’s resume.
Tommy nods curtly.Wilbur sighs, setting the folder on the desk. “Look kid, I appreciate you setting this up, and your paperwork is all there, but I need someone in this position who can fulfill all of the jobs, and who is reliable,” he turns his gaze back on Tommy.

"No fucking way. No this can't be possible. What the hell Phil?!"
Phil looked stern but also ashamed. He sighed and was going to say something before he perked his head up. The police sirens were getting close.
"Look Tommy, I know that this is a lot but just let me go and I promise I'll explain things when we get back to the house."
Or Tommy, Wilbur and Techno are vigilantes working to take down the biggest bad in the city and Phil just happens to be said baddie.
