Wyll’s face burns hotter. “You’re the one acting like a child! You can’t treat me like I’m—like I’m less than you because I didn’t jump into bed straight away! Not everything is about sex!”
“Of course it is.” Astarion's face has become carefully blank. “Even if you’re the one acting like you’re better than me because you want a chaste romance. You’re so full of shit. I can see it all over your face when you look at me.” He presses a hand to the centre of Wyll’s chest, over his rapidly thrumming heart. “You want to hold me down and fuck me until I cry, just like anyone else.'' His voice is pure venom, poisoning Wyll’s very thoughts.
Making him flush hot with a horrid mixture of shame and arousal. “No, I—”
“Oh, my sweet.” Astarion is pitying him. He taps Wyll’s temple. “You can’t hide from me; I’ve been in here.”
A confrontation in the Shadow-Cursed Lands ends in a way neither Wyll nor Astarion anticipated.

It’s one of the few perks of this lovely condition.”
Wyll frowned. “I’ve met enough dhampirs to know otherwise. There’s no need to be ashamed, Astarion.”
Astarion waved a hand, dismissive, but his posture grew anxious once more, his tone edging toward defensive. “It’s been nearly two centuries since I had a heat, Wyll. Trust me, I’d know.”
