She swears when she wakes up sometimes she can still taste it. Like metal on her tongue, the pockets of her cheeks, seeping out of the pores there, inherently mixed with her saliva.

“You –” She means it to be joking but it doesn’t really come out that way, stilted and muffled while she tries to hide the black of her eye. “... are taller.”
“Just heels.” Which is true, when she glances down, but even without them she knows her head would just barely break Asami’s eyeline. “But so are you.”
Whatever initial elation there was, it starts to disappear into dread, and then her body thrums with a head to toe ache that she closes her eyes against.

While still in the White Lotus compound Korra was forced to stop Unalaq's plan but her choice to leave the Spirit Portals opened send ripples throughout the world. Discontent at the current situation is causing more and more people to join the clandestine Equalist movement. With Korra deciding to stop hiding and come to Republic City, what welcome will await her?

Season 2 of Korra took place before Season 1, though it probably proceeded in a different way. Harmonic Convergence happened so new Airbenders, yey. Korra finally comes to Republic City among major unrest related to the Spirit Portals being open, the emergence of spirits and Spirit Vines. And Asami is an Equalist. And a new Airbender. But she doesn't know the last part. Yet.

Basically...
Korra and Asami have been near each other all of their lives, but don't actually meet or know of each other's existence until they're 18. Their parents have the answers to why. What happens when they finally do meet? They immediately begin to unravel each other's lives. They start to change each other, but Korra is a stubborn creature of habit. The origins of their connection will be revealed. Asami will undergo transformations and fill a lifelong void. Korra will learn that not everything is a fight, and that some things truly are inevitable. She won't be alone in her changes, nor will Asami. Their friends will experience their own alterations, and romances. But Korra and her 3 friends have had their fair share of crap and won't be tied back down so easily. That's the real challenge that Asami and her girlfriends must face. Four against four. Tough versus cute. Stout versus hot. How will it go?

After the Red Lotus failed to kidnap Avatar Korra all those years ago when she was just discovered, they decided to go for the second best choice - you.
Where you expected to be tortured for however long they wanted to, you were instead thrust into an alternate dimension that was completely different than what you knew. A picture of your mom was all that you had and as you grew up in Wakanda, you hoped that she would find you. Lin Beifong was a master detective after all and she loved you more than life itself.
You're terrified at first, but soon learn and adapt to this new place that you have to call home for awhile.
You miss your mother and your family immensely and you make sure you don't give into the demons that plague you from doing unimaginable things; things that would haunt you for years and years.After you've trained to take up the mantle of Black Panther with your found brothers, a threat comes to your front doorstep and you realize that the realm you were taken to isn't the only one that's in danger.
You have to go back home.
