There had been weeks of planning going on to get to this moment. Starting at the end of November when Lily had erupted in hormonal tears and had begged James to 'create a distraction from all threats and make his Lily happy again.'
At least, that was what the letter, which Sirius had received from his best friend, had said. He read it to Remus, who thought for a bit and then proposed; "Why don't we celebrate Christmas together?"

Opowiadania powstawały w różnym czasie, pod wpływem różnych bodźców literackich, z różnych powodów, ale łączy je jedno - świat przedstawiony, który przywodzi na myśl XX-lecie międzywojenne. To nic, że akcja rozgrywa się w latach osiemdziesiątych, tutaj nieustannie słychać fokstrota! A potem? Potem wybucha wojna i poeci, zamiast pisać wiersze, zaczynają zabijać innych poetów.
Teksty można czytać w dowolnej kolejności (numeracja wiąże się z czasem ich powstawania, a nie z chronologią wydarzeń). We wszystkich pojawia się Rudolf Lestrange, czasami w duecie z Remusem Lupinem.
"Kompleks Raskolnikowa" to jedyny nieukończony, wieloodcinkowy projekt, który należy do tej serii. W założeniu miał obejmować wydarzenia tuż przed wybuchem I wojny z Voldemortem i przebieg działań wojennych, ale niestety, diabli wzięli wenę, więc ciągu dalszego nie będzie. Zresztą później zmieniła mi się nieco wizja potteroświata (co widać w tasiemcu "Da zabilily sniżki"), więc kontynuowanie starej wersji nie miałoby sensu.
Raskolnikowa zostawiam tutaj na pamiątkę, w stanie zawieszenia. Ostatecznie, niedokończony czy nie, nadal należy do cyklu "Wojna i magobohema".- Words:
