Summary
"Rifts in Time: Before the Adventure" is the secondary collection of stories for my Links Meetup AU. The one for the stories that happen before the main adventure starts. The main series is called "Rifts in Time".
Most of my Links are queer in some manner. If that's not your sort of thing, then move on. If it is, then welcome! The story 'Rainbow Rupees Revisited' has an intensive character study of each Link (and Ravio!), including their queerness, but I'll also be putting a list of general pronouns and such at the bottom of each main Link Meetup story of mine, just to help people remember.

Mask tilted his head back, feeling the crisp chill of the night on his face. His cozy blanket wrapped around him. Chirping crickets and the familiar rustles of small animals filled the night. The trees rustled in the wind, a comforting reminder of his home. He slept in the center of camp, surrounded by powerful warriors–his brothers. So why couldn’t he sleep?

There was one goal with today’s trip to Castle Town: pick up some groceries for Malon from the market.
Twilight was determined that they were going to do this swiftly, efficiently, and without distraction. They were not going to commit any crimes, start any fires, or, most importantly, lose anyone while they were at it. They were not going to spend a cent over what was necessary, they were going to tarry as few minutes there as they were able, and they were not going to take a single step beyond their pre-planned path to the farmer’s vegetable table, to the cheese maker, to the bakers, to the pastry, and then back home again.
The rest of the heroes, apparently, took Twilight’s resolve as a challenge

Something about it being built directly on a leyline, where the barrier between reality and the arcane was thinnest. She waved her hand at the other farmers, trying to warn her away from possibly the best plot of land she had ever seen. Now, she was beginning to think they were right about that whole magic thing, as she watched softly glowing eyes peer right back at her from within the trees that bordered the property.

Sometimes, he just wants to be the wild one, and unfortunately for Ashei, he takes his chances when he can. Does that mean petting every cat he sees/hears? Yes. Does that result in finding a bloody trail through the alleys and seeking out a certain bug princess at 2 am? Also yes. But hey! They both know they'd do anything for their team-mates.

TWILIGHT AND THE RESISTENCE!!!! I love that! Twilight getting to be the baby for once, a stupid reckless link like all the others. The atmosphere of the bar and twilight just hanging with his friends completely at ease was so healing to read
Also ashei. I love ashei. Everyone knows that ashei is the one in charge, _she_ is the one walking everyone home!
This portrayal of agatha was also very entertaining for me. Her princess roleplay was cute, the way she cared for bunny legend was lovingly, not even caring that blood was smeared on her dress
