To Zero, Y'shtola's aether was fascinating. Since her first taste, she couldn't stop thinking about it, or the sorceress. During dinner, she grabbed Y'shtola's tail, and didn't understand the reaction to it until she went to apologise.
The apology was accepted, and Zero was pulled into Y'shtola's bedroom to see much more of her.

It would be incredibly easy to say no. To turn on her heel and push her way back into the darkness of the hallway, return to her chambers, and pretend none of this ever happened. But as Zero sees the two of them sitting there before her, arms looped easily around each other like entwined is the most natural way for them to exist, like anything else is a temporary inconvenience— as she wonders, in spite of herself, how it would feel to let them remind her what that feels like— as they smile at her like they want to…
Zero doesn’t know, in specific, what she wants. But, undoubtedly, she wants—for the first time in a very, very, very long time. And that in itself is novel, she thinks. Something to be explored.
“I admit I was… intrigued,” she then says, stiffly, and she gingerly lowers herself to sit on the bed, on Roe’s other side. “By the concept.”
zero’s stay in radz-at-han is proving to be more educational than she initially anticipated. (or: the warrior of light and her wife saw this voidsent from across the bar and they liked her vibe.)

Zero has a dangerous mix of curiosity, just enough knowledge on the subject to get into trouble, and a lack of appreciation for the social nuances involved that drives her to try to learn something new about life on the Source via hands-on experience.
Y'shtola should know better than to indulge in Zero's attempt at what can't even charitably be called seduction, but she and the Warrior of Light have talked about how they'd like to have her in their bed eventually. Surely he'll understand Y'shtola helping herself first, or at least be willing to let her make it up to him.
