His words were like a slap to his face, the shrapnel of pain hitting him in full force.
“W-what?” His voice quivered as he tried to hold back the tears that threatened to fall from his eyes.
Rin’s gaze was sharp and unrelenting. “I’m asking again if it’s mine.”
Nanase would’ve preferred it if someone just punched him in broad daylight than be asked a humiliating question like this again.
