“Guess you better keep it down.” Horangi is merciless as he starts with a fast pace, hand moving so quickly that it jostles König back and forth. König has to squeeze Horangi’s arm again and bite into Horangi’s palm to keep quiet.

" Later is now. And he is still deciding not to worry about it. He’s so busy daydreaming about Horangi that he nearly forgets to text him. The heat fogged his mind, giving him a blast to the past. His instincts in overdrive, he feels like he needs to jump out of his own skin.
‘Do me a favor, Stripes?’ He only ever called him that when he wanted something. It usually worked.
The reply is instant. ‘Yes?’
‘Heats coming.’
‘Now???’
‘Mhm. Help me. Please? I don’t have any stuff either.’
The typing bubble appears and then disappears a few times.
‘Be there soon.’
König stretches, before rolling over and nodding off. Content that he’s in good hands. "

They've been dancing around each other for who knows how long now, gifting each other small things and batting their lashes at each other. They trust each other, and that sort of thing is rare these days. Nothing ever comes of it until one day König's heat knocks him clear off his feet and with a hurried and mindless text, he reaches out to his good friend, his good alpha friend, asking for his aid. And well, because Horangi never fails to deliver, he is quick to answer the call.

König was laying down on his bed, his alarm clock blaring like usual despite him being hours earlier than it, when he got the idea.
What if he simply just… didn’t talk for a day?
I mean, sure, he’s antisocial and can barely squeak out a conversation when it isn’t anything work related, but what if he really didn’t say a word for a whole day? Would anyone really notice? Would anyone bother pointing it out if he truly went silent?

He felt a small smirk tugging at his lips as he looked down at the wide blue eyes still shining with a few remaining tears in the corners, “I shouldn’t like this as much as I do.” he chuckled.
Johnny paused in his begging to blink up at him and tilted his head slightly almost like a curious puppy, “uh… killing?” he asked.
“No,” he grinned reaching down and running his fingers through his mohawk, “having a soon-to-be widower begging at my feet.” he chuckled gripping his hair, “How about we head somewhere more private and talk shop on how you want this to go.”

“Come now, I already know that isn’t true, I have seen you all blood flushed and dreamy before.” A pair of arms reach above the wooden tank to fold themselves along the lip, and the creature smiles as he rests his large head down across his forearms. “Even if you did manage to break from it, clever princeling. Shall I sing for you again?”
