Summary
With smooth movements, Childe knocks some of the guards down, dodging all ammunition thrown at him and running towards the man. He may be dumb but on the battlefield a god, skilled like no other.
Morax's bodyguards take their knife's out, ready to end Childe mercifully. Just for a moment, Childe let's himself smile, the dead being welcome. He does not even reach the boss as the first ammunition hits him in the leg, the next in his left arm. Not enough though. He could survive.
Blood spills out of his mouth, his body collapsing on the ground. He can see Morax frowning, saying something to his men and then kneeling, eyes checking Childe over.
Maybe the mafia realized Childe had never intended to hurt his men? Childe does not care.
However, Childe loses consciousness without seeing those golden eyes glow.
"Don't let him die.", Morax orders his men, taking the scene in. The Harbinger has not hurt a single men of his, only pretending to. He had even let himself get shot and stabbed.
"Yes, Boss.", Xiao says, eyes locked at the ginger on the ground. They both saw the boy saying thank you without using his voice. He had wanted to die, Morax realizes.

Those are some of the first words Ajax, starving college student extraordinaire, has the misfortune of hearing upon waking up in a brave new world from what he's fairly sure is a very fatal accident involving water and a shit ton of electricity.
Okay, so he's not dead. That's good. But what's this about him being stuck playing the character Tartaglia? Tartaglia, as in the no-good, one-dimensional, cartoonish villain who met his untimely, gruesome death in the first act of the original game?
Forget this. Like hell Ajax is going to share that fate.
And so begins one man's journey to save himself from his awful destiny.
