Summary
Shanks was going to take over the world. The very dark, very broken world. No one knew why exactly. People had theories that it had to do with the void century, others thought it had to do with the One Piece, some thought he had a treasure of his own he wanted to protect. Ace just thought he was insane. He was the reason his island was gone, he was the reason his brother was dead. And because of him he now had to accomplish his brothers’ dreams himself.
Shanks was not parrinoided. He just needed to protect his son. His adopted son who didn’t seem to know danger when it was looking him in the eye. He would not let the world hurt him. Not ever. Even if he had to die he would protect Luffy.

Shanks adopts Luffy and the world suffers because of it.
