Summary
His destination was a potential bandit hideout just north of Wolvendom. He avoided the knights with ease, a skill that came only with memorized patrol routes and covert paths. Sure, this might label Kaeya as some suspicious man sneaking around the evening, but he doesn’t work well in groups for these kinds of missions. He might be a team player when necessary, but working alone is more his style. Quite contradictory to his title as Cavalry Captain. Not that he’s a bad captain or anything of that sort. He’s fit for the job.
Nonetheless, in situations like these, Kaeya feels it is better to move on his own. This way, there’d be no one to hold him back from doing what he decides is necessary. As long as the work gets done, no one should have the right to judge him on his methods. And.. Some of his ‘methods’ are less than ideal.
OR;
Kaeya tries to take down a group of bandits alone while having touched something laced in poison.Prompt NO. 15 “I don’t need you to help me, I can handle things myself.”

After Weinlesefest had ended, Adelinde was insistent that Kaeya visit the Dawn Winery for dinner again. Unfortunately, the Chasm incident is still having lingering effects on Kaeya, and Mondstadt's Cavalry Captain has never considered himself to be the lucky sort.
Fortunately, Diluc Ragnvindr is not one to be predictable. At least, not when it counts.
Or, Kaeya is cursed whether he wants to be or not, and Diluc cares whether he wants to or not.
